National Press Club elections slated for January 8
The annual elections of the National Press Club will be held on January 8. Nomination papers will be collected from December 23 to 26, 2019.

ISLAMABAD - The annual elections of National Press Club for 2019-20 will take place on January 8.

According to a press release, the election committee finalized the schedule during a meeting at the club.

Ilyas Chaudhry will head the election committee that has Raja Kafeel Ahmed, Mian Munir Ahmed, Shaikh Nisar Hussain, and Chaudhry Muhammad Ahsan Premee as members.

According to the schedule, nomination papers will be received from December 23 to 26 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Scrutiny and an initial list of candidates will be put up on December 27.

Filing of objections on nomination papers will be received on December 28 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Objections will be heard on December 29 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The election committee will display a provisional list of candidates on December 30.

Withdrawal of nomination papers will be allowed on December 31 maximum by 8:00 pm.

The committee will display the final list of candidates on January 1. Polling time is from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
