Artificial Intelligence and Data Use Policy

At JournalismPakistan.com, we are committed to maintaining the integrity and originality of our journalism. As emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) evolve, we have established clear guidelines to control how automated systems may access or reuse our published content.

Purpose of this Policy

This policy outlines how AI crawlers and automated bots may interact with our content. It is designed to protect our news reports, features, and commentary from unauthorized data harvesting and reuse in AI model training or dataset creation.

Our Stance on AI Crawlers

We acknowledge the growing role of AI-assisted search and summarization tools. However, we strictly limit the use of our journalism for AI model training. While traditional search engines may continue to index our content for visibility, AI bots are not permitted to store or learn from our material.

Files Controlling AI Access

We have implemented the following public policy files to communicate our restrictions to AI crawlers:

  • llms.txt — defines access rules for large language model (LLM) crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and Google-Extended.
  • ai.txt — provides duplicate protection for additional AI systems that reference this file name.

What Is Allowed

  • ✅ Normal search engine indexing and visibility in Google or Bing results.
  • ✅ Sharing of links or short excerpts under fair-use and attribution policies.

What Is Not Allowed

  • 🚫 Use of JournalismPakistan content for AI training or fine-tuning models.
  • 🚫 Automated scraping of news articles, archives, or opportunities sections for dataset creation.
  • 🚫 Republishing or paraphrasing AI-generated derivatives of our journalism without permission.

Ethical AI and Transparency

We support ethical innovation in AI when it respects copyright, transparency, and professional standards. Any organization or developer wishing to use our content for AI training must obtain prior written consent from JournalismPakistan.com.
