Dawn newspaper faced criticism for misidentifying a politician in its coverage of Sardar Mohammad Yaqoob's death. The incident has raised concerns about journalistic accuracy.

ISLAMABAD—Dawn newspaper published a picture of the wrong person covering the death of AJK politician Sardar Mohammad Yaqoob.

"Hello @dawn_com, you have mistakenly laid to rest Kashmir former PM Sardar Yaqoob who is still alive and member AJK assembly," TV anchor Sammar Abbas tweeted, highlighting the usage of the wrong photo by the paper.

Veteran politician and National Assembly's former deputy speaker Sardar Mohammad Yaqoob passed away after a protracted illness on Wednesday. However, the paper published the photograph of former Prime Minister Sardar Yaqoob.
