Ziauddin calls Sheikh Rashid an illiterate
Muhammad Ziauddin labels Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed as illiterate and accuses him of self-promoting through unfounded stories. This criticism emerges amid discussions on Rashid's book and his role in the 2014 PTI sit-in.

ISLAMABAD—Veteran journalist Muhammad Ziauddin (pictured) seems to be angry with Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, calling him an illiterate and one who uses fake stories for personal glorification.

Ziauddin, a former resident editor of The News and Dawn, jumped into tweets by journalist Murtaza Solangi and PMLN leader Pervaiz Rashid over the minister’s book in which he allegedly made disclosures before the sit-in by PTI in 2014.

“Why do we take this illiterate so seriously? His book would not be anything other than self-propaganda based on fake stories,” asked a rather angry Ziauddin in a tweet.

Solangi, however, said that a minister talking about behind the scenes development before sit-in cannot be ignored. “He is a federal minister of Imran Khan. If he provides self-incriminating evidence under narcissistic itch, we have to report it.”
