What's new on BOL? The answer is right here
BOL News has introduced commercials for the first time since its 2016 launch. Initially featuring a Rooh Afza ad, the channel plans to gradually increase its advertising.

ISLAMABAD – For the first time since its launch in 2016, BOL News Television has started airing commercials.

“We will be running ads of brands and products that are Pakistan’s identity,” a BOL insider tells JournalismPakitan.com.

For starters, a Rooh Afza commercial began airing on Monday. “Slowly, we will increase the number of ads.”

After hitting the airwaves in December 2016, BOL continuously claimed it did not want to run ads as its primary focus was to present a positive image of Pakistan to the world.

KEY POINTS:

  • BOL News started airing commercials on Monday.
  • The first commercial features Rooh Afza.
  • The channel initially avoided ads to focus on a positive image of Pakistan.
  • BOL plans to gradually increase the number of aired ads.
  • This marks a shift in BOL's media strategy since its launch.
