Police have arrested a journalist in Badin for allegedly sexually abusing a 17-year-old boy. The case includes charges of sodomy and drugging the victim. Authorities are investigating past incidents involving the accused.

KARACHI – Police have arrested a reported working with a news channel for allegedly sexually abusing a teenage boy in Badin (Sindh).

Daily Pakistan Global reported that police had registered a case against the journalist under different sections related to sodomy and drugging.

The online paper said that victim’s elder brother told police that the accused took his 17-year-old brother to a deserted area near a railway track. There he drugged him and subsequently abused him sexually.

The complainant said the journalist had also sexually abused other boys in the past.

The victim will undergo a medical checkup at the Indus Hospital in Badin, police said.
