Waheed Khan calls for fair treatment of sport in promo
Waheed Khan's program 'G Sports with Waheed Khan' highlights the need for equal importance of sports in society. Debuting on GTV HD, the show aims to elevate the status of sports in Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD – A promo of Pakistan's leading journalist and analyst Waheed Khan’s new program on GTV HD calls for sports to be treated equally with other disciplines.

Khan, whose program ‘G Sports with Waheed Khan’ debuts Monday at prime time, asks shouldn’t sports be given equal importance as international affairs, politics, trade, or health?

Although all these fields are vital for any country, is sport not crucial for any healthy society, he asks. Have our players not raised Pakistan’s flag with their performances? Then why is it that sport is not given the treatment it deserves?

Khan points out in the promo that it will be the first time a news channel would air a sports show at prime time four days a week.

Khan remained off screen since leaving Geo Super in May where he worked for ten years.

GTV HD, headquartered in Karachi, is a new channel launched recently.
