VEHARI—Members of Vehari Press Club, led by President Mukhtar Ahmed Bhatti, have staged a demonstration at the club to protest police torture and arrest of two camerapersons, Nawa-i-Waqt reported.
Camerapersons Usman Rana and Shafqat were to covering a protest when local police detained them.
Club President Mukhtar Bhatti demanded police immediately release the detained camerapersons. He termed it an attack on press freedom. He also announced a boycott of media coverage of Vehari police.
