ISLAMABAD - Senior journalist Yasir Habib Khan of The News has become Pakistan’s first media person to win the ‘Ambassador of Friendliness’ award in China.
He received the award at an official opening ceremony of The Silk Road Rediscovery Tour of Beijing Culture held under the aegis of Beijing administration and China Radio International Online.
During his 12-day trip, he wrote 10 articles on cultural heritage, technological innovation, industrial boom, e-health system, animation revolution and more journeying through the northeastern part of China and Beijing.
He earned appreciation from various Chinese media networks as well as government officials.
Habib works for The News and is also associated with China Radio International Online and South China Morning Post as a special contributor.
He has also worked for Daily Times and Pakistan Today.
