Sindh government launches media support program
The Sindh Chief Minister has introduced the People's Media Support Program to assist media workers. This initiative aims to secure jobs and ensure timely salary payments amid ongoing financial issues in the sector.

KARACHI—Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has launched the People’s Media Support Program (PMSP), on the directive of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, announced Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, on Twitter, Tuesday.

Shah said PMSP would provide job security to media workers and journalists as well as surety of timely payment of salaries.

He said the government had already begun paying liabilities to media owners under the PMSP, adding that they give assurance to relevant authorities that they would not terminate employees and pay their salaries on time.

Media workers have faced layoffs, pay cuts, and delay of salaries since 2018.
