Shaista ties the knot, likely to restart program on Geo News

ISLAMABAD: Leading anchorperson Shaista Lodhi got married a few days back, breaking the news on her twitter account Tuesday.

“Quran: "then He has established relationships of lineage & marriage: for your Lord has power."Alhumdulilah married,” she tweeted.

Her fans and followers have been sending her congratulatory messages on Twitter on beginning her new life. She, however, didn’t reveal identity of her husband and the place where the marriage took place.

The popular morning show host was earlier known as Shaista Wahidi but divorced her former husband in 2012.

A source tells JournalismPakistan.com that she is also going to restart her program on Geo News soon and currently arrangements for the show are underway. “Most probably she will restart her morning show after Eid,” he said.

Shaista had landed in a controversy over some blasphemous content aired on her show and subsequently left Pakistan along with her children. She has returned to Karachi now.
