Senior journalist murdered in Karachi
Senior journalist Zeba Burney was discovered dead in her apartment in Karachi during the Eid holidays. Authorities confirmed signs of strangulation, indicating murder.

KARACHI - A senior journalist, who retired from Nawa-i-Waqt newspaper was found murdered at her apartment during the Eid holidays.

Dawn reported Thursday that Zeba Burney was the wife of late journalist Naeem Qamar.

She lived in Khudad Colony, and her body was found Monday.

The doctors at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) told police it was a case of murder as there were signs of strangulation on her neck.

Dawn reported that police approached her brother in F.B. Area but he was reluctant to pursue the case.
