ISLAMABAD – Senior journalist Ashfaq Sajid who worked for the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) died of blood cancer on Wednesday.
A former president of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ), who was also active in the National Press Club politics, passed away at the Combined Military Hospital, Rawalpindi.
Diagnosed with blood cancer only recently Sajid was initially admitted to CMH Lahore. However, he was shifted to CMH Rawalpindi in a critical condition but there was little the doctors could do to save him.
