ISLAMABAD – For holding Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah responsible for the deaths during the partition of the sub-continent, TV One was served a show-cause notice by PEMRA Wednesday.
Sahir Lodhi was the erring host and his remarks went on air in the program Ishq-e-Ramzan aired on May 28.
The regulator said this was a violation of rules and regulations and the Electronic Media Code of Conduct 2015.
The channel is required to respond to the show-cause notice within three days and its CEO has been asked to appear in person on June 5.
