Royal News faces Rs1 million PEMRA fine

ISLAMABAD - The Council of Complaints of PEMRA has recommended a fine of Rs1 million on Royal News for airing what the Council said was baseless content against the National Accountability Bureau.

The decision was taken at the 63rd meeting of the Council held in Lahore with Dr. Mehdi Hassan in the chair.

The meeting also recommended slapping a fine of Rs200,000 on ARY News for its absence and casual attitude towards a complaint filed by Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashood Khan.
