RIUJ elections on March 19; polling schedule announced
The Rawalpindi-Islamabad Union of Journalists will hold elections on March 19. The polling schedule has been officially released by the election committee.

ISLAMABAD – The Election Committee of the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ) has announced the polling schedule for the year 2018-19.

The polls will take place on March 19. An election committee meeting chaired by Ilyas Chaudhry at the National Press Club, Islamabad made the announcement.

The following is the schedule:

March 8-11: Receiving of nomination papers from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm

March 12: Scrutiny of nomination papers from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm.

March 13: Display of initial list from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm.

March 14: Objections to nomination papers from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm.

March 14: Display of provisional list from 5:00 pm-08:00 pm.

March 15: Withdrawal of nomination papers from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm.

March 15: Announcement of final list of candidates from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm

March 19: Polling at National Press Club, Islamabad from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
