Rifat Alam new CEO at Din News
Rifat Alam has joined Din News HD TV as its new CEO, following his roles at various notable news organizations. His extensive background in media is expected to benefit the channel immensely.

Lahore: Rifat Alam, former Editor and Chief Executive at Newsroom Pakistan and former Editor of the Daily Times, has joined Din News HD TV as its CEO.

Rifat has also worked with Pakistan Today, The Sun, The News, and Geo English. He was instrumental in establishing Daily Times as well – from the planning stage to policy formulation and hiring staff.

The news of his appointment has been received well by journalists, print and electronic. “He’s a professional through and through. A better man could not have been found for the job,” a senior reporter said.

“I’ve worked with him and know he has a wonderful understanding of media in Pakistan and how to run an organization as well,” another added.

Din, which is still to establish itself in the proper sense, would benefit hugely from Rifat’s experience and guidance.
