Rana Mubashir quits NewsOne
Rana Mubashir has resigned from NewsOne amid accusations from management regarding his show content. His departure raises concerns about other potential resignations within the newsroom.

ISLAMABAD: Rana Mubashir, Director News and senior anchor at NewsOne Television resigned Tuesday after reportedly being accused by the management of doing pro-armed forces shows and criticizing the government.

The news of his resignation prompted fears several newsroom staff may also quit.

Mubashir who hosts the current affairs talk show Rana Mubashir @Prime Time has resigned previously on a couple of occasions only to be persuaded by the management to return.

However, insiders tell JournalismPakistan.com, it is unlikely he would come back this time round. They said he had made it clear in his resignation he wouldn't be returning.

Mubashir also had issues with the management over staff salaries that get delayed for months. He served the channel for almost six years.
