ISLAMABAD – Hours after barring entry to Pakistan Television (PTV) offices of an official accused of sexually harassing two female anchors, the administration withdrew the letter.
Dawn reported Sunday the accused, director current affairs, used his contacts in the political circles to have the letter withdrawn.
“The order regarding non-entry of Agha Masood Shorish in the premises of PTV HQrs is hereby cancelled and withdrawn in toto,” said a letter issued on the heels of the earlier order.
Dawn quoted Shorish as saying the office administration erroneously issued the letter that ordered ban on his entry.
It is the second case of harassment in the state-run organization after another director was fined Rs250000 in October by the ombudsperson and censured. A complaint was filed by six female anchors at the station against him.
