Protesters attack Aaj TV office, Hyderabad Press Club
The Aaj TV office and Hyderabad Press Club were attacked by protesters dissatisfied with media coverage of Mumtaz Qadri's funeral. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the violence and reaffirmed support for media freedom.

KARACHI - Office of Aaj Television in Karachi was attacked Friday reportedly by supporters of Mumtaz Qadri for the channel not covering his funeral.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the attack and said the government believed in freedom of media. The protesters hurled stones at the main gate of the office that damaged window panes and a car parked there. An attack on Hyderabad Press Club was also reported.
