ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Peoples Party has slammed PTI government’s plan to lease out the Radio Pakistan Headquarter building in Islamabad.
In a press release, the PPP said such a proposal was “unacceptable.”
The release said that Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) is the voice of the nation but the party credited with attacking Pakistan Television would never understand the value of these state institutions.
“It is a pity that the information minister has failed to protect the building and has allowed a prime information resource to be vandalized in this way.”
The PPP called upon the government to not only revoke this decision but to invest in the national radio and add value by switching to digital technology.
