PPP complains against blogger Cynthia Ritchie over hateful tweet against Benazir
The Pakistan Peoples Party has lodged a complaint against Cynthia Ritchie for her derogatory remarks on Twitter. The complaint highlights the emotional distress caused by her statements about Benazir Bhutto.

KARACHI—Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has filed a complaint with the cybercrime wing of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against Pakistan-based American blogger, Cynthia D Ritchie, for slander and hateful comments against former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

Dawn.com reported that PPP Islamabad President, Advocate Shakeel Abbasi, filed the application Thursday, saying Ritchie posted derogatory and slanderous remarks about Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari's marital life on Twitter.

Ritchie's remarks "have caused immense pain and agony to the millions of people who revere and pay their utmost respect to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto."

The application called for immediate action against Ritchie for her untrue and false remarks and requested FIA to initiate proceedings against her.

Ritchie's tweet garnered a strong reaction from PPP leaders and supporters.
