ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has condemned the beating up by police of a photojournalist covering the ongoing teachers’ protest in Rawalpindi.
Senior photojournalist Faisal Khan, associated with Daily Ausaf, was baton-charged by Punjab police. He is seen bleeding profusely from the head in a video clip circulating on social media.
In a statement, the President of PFUJ, Afzal Butt, condemned the incident and urged Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi to take action.
