PFUJ condemns hooliganism at Dawn office in Islamabad

Join our WhatsApp channelISLAMABAD — The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalist (PFUJ) has strongly condemned the hooliganism at the office of Dawn and blocking its entry and exit gates on Monday.
An unknown group of around 100 people surrounded, attacked, and blocked exit and entry gates of the news organization and leveled unfounded and unwanted allegations against the printed content in the paper.
The newly-elected office-bearers of PFUJ, Shahzada Zulfiqar, Nasir Zaidi, and Afzal Butt have demanded an inquiry into the incident which occurred in the heart of federal capital. The union leaders said the police failed to provide security to the media house and its employees, which was alarming.
They demanded the arrest of those involved in hooliganism.
