PFUJ condemns death threats to Saleem Safi
The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists has denounced the life threats against Saleem Safi. They called for stronger protection measures for journalists amid growing political tensions.

ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Federal Union Journalists (PFUJ) has strongly condemned reported and alleged life threats to television anchor Saleem Safi.

PFUJ President Shazada Zulfiqar and Secretary-General Nasir Zaidi, in a statement, urged the federal authorities to ensure the safety and security of the journalists and media workers.

They said it is unfortunate that in a politically charged situation, journalists who are fulfilling their professional duties are being targeted, threatened, and harassed by workers and leaders of a political party.
