PFUJ calls for restoration of railway concession for journalists
The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists is advocating for the reinstatement of concessional tickets for journalists. This privilege, previously uninterrupted, is now at risk, prompting a call for government intervention.

ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has urged Pakistan Railways to restore concessional tickets to the journalist community and their families.

President PFUJ Shahzada Zulfiqar and Secretary-General Nasir Zaidi said that the concession was a facility granted to the media for decades that had never been terminated by any government in the past.

They called on Railways Minister Shaikh Rashid Ahmed to intervene and help restore the facility immediately.
