ISLAMABAD – Electronic media regulator PEMRA has warned Geo Super and Geo News after both illegally aired footage of ICC Champions Trophy infringing the legitimate rights of PTV Sports.
A PEMRA media release said PTV Sports has the rights for the tournament.
The regulator told both channels to refrain from airing live or recorded footages of the event in any manner after PTV lodged a complaint.
All other satellite channels were also directed not to air pictures of the tournament from PTV Sports in any form.
