PEMRA orders cable operators to restore Geo channels to original positions
PEMRA has directed cable operators to revert Geo channels to their original positions within a day. Non-compliance may result in license cancellation.

ISLAMABAD - Electronic media regulator PEMRA has issued notices to cable operators Wateen and World Call and directed them to restore all channels of Geo Television to their original positions within 24 hours.

The regulator warned Wateen Multi-Media Lahore and World Call Cable, Lahore and Karachi to act within the allotted time or face cancellation of their licenses.

PEMRA made it clear that it had issued no directives to cable operators to shut down or change the position of any television channel.

It directed all operators to ensure uninterrupted transmission of all license-holding television channels.
