LAHORE: Parents of Dawn Islamabad journalist Hassan Belal Zaidi were laid to rest Thursday evening at Firdosia Graveyard in Lahore. People from different segments of society attended the funeral prayers and prayed for the departed souls. Dr Javaid Zaidi, 65, and Mrs Kausar, 60, were found murdered at their Model Town house on Wednesday night. According to police, the couple was killed with a sharp-edged weapon and the condition of the bodies showed the murders took place at least two days ago, Dawn reported. The door of the house was locked and the body of Dr Javaid was found in his bedroom and that of Mrs Kausar in the basement, police said. The police have registered a case and started investigations.
