NPC election schedule announced
The National Press Club in Islamabad has announced its election schedule for 2015. Key dates include nomination paper submissions and polling on December 27.

ISLAMABAD: Elections to the offices of National Press Club, Islamabad for 2015 will be held on December 27, says a press release issued by the Election Committee.

The Election Committee finalized the following schedule at a meeting chaired by Nasir Zaidi:

December 14-15: Receiving of nomination papers - 3pm to 8pm.

December 16: Examination of papers by interested candidates - 4pm to 8pm.

December 17: Scrutiny and display of initial list of candidates.

December 18: Objections to nomination papers - 4pm to 8pm.

December 19: Hearing of objections - 4pm to 8pm.

December 20: Display of provisional list of candidates at 10pm.

December 21: Withdrawal of nomination papers maximum by 9pm.

December 21: Announcement of final list of candidates at 10pm.

December 27: Polling from 10am to 8:30pm.

The Election Committee comprises Nasir Zaidi (Chairman), Rizwan Ehsan Ali (Joji), Nasir Mir, Abdul Sattar Chaudhry and Ahsan Premi. Iqbal Jaffari and Javaid Shahzad will assist the committee.
