Minister appreciates National Press Club's reported operation clean-up against fake journalists

Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has praised the National Press Club's efforts to combat fake journalists. He emphasized the need for other press clubs to emulate this initiative to maintain respect and dignity in journalism.

ISLAMABAD – Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has welcomed a reported step by the newly-elected President of National Press Club Shakeel Qarar to crack down on fake journalists.

Khattak said that Qarar had launched an operation against fake journalists. He pointed out that the current strength of the club was 3000, but it should be less than 2000 members.

He called on the minister to take action against fake newspapers.
