KPC and CEJ sign MoU for capacity building workshops
The Karachi Press Club and the Center for Excellence in Journalism-IBA signed an MoU to start a year-long program for journalists. This initiative aims to enhance the skills of working journalists through various training workshops.

KARACHI - The Karachi Press Club (KPC) and the Center for Excellence in Journalism-IBA have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the second year to start a year-long professional capacity building program for journalists.

KPC President Imtiaz Ahmed Faran, Secretary Arman Sabir, and CEJ Director Kamal Siddiqi signed the document at a ceremony held at the press club.

CEJ-IBA and KPC’s Skills Development Committee will jointly organize training workshops for journalists, who are members of KPC.

These training will focus on enhancing the professional skills of working journalists by equipping them with the latest tools in the areas of reporting, editing, photojournalism, etc.

Kamal Siddiqi hoped that such training would help improve standards of journalism in Pakistan. “We want journalists to develop skills in order to face the challenges posed in this new era of information.”

Arman Sabir said the training programs for KPC members and working journalists would help them improve their professional skills.
