Join our WhatsApp channelLAHORE — Senior freelance Journalist Yasir Habib Khan won the 2019 CPEC Golden Anchor Communication Award at a ceremony of the 5th CPEC Media Forum.
Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing presented the award. The Chinese Embassy hosted the event in collaboration with Pakistan China Institute (PCI) and China Economic Net (CEN).
Leader of the house for the Senate, Syed Shibli Faraz, Kashmir Committee Chairman Fakhar Imam, Senator Muhammad Javed Abbasi, China Economic Net Editor-in-Chief Cui Jun, Peking University Center for Pakistan Studies Director Prof. Dr. Tang Meng Sheng, PCI Chairman and Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed and Dawn CEO Hameed Haroon were among those who attended the event.
In 2017, Yasir Habib had clinched the ‘Ambassador of Friendliness’ award in China during an official opening ceremony of The Silk Road Rediscovery Tour of Beijing Culture held under the aegis of Beijing administration and China Radio International Online.
He works as a freelance journalist for The News, The News on Sunday, Geo TV, and The Nation. For Chinese media, he works as a special correspondent for China Economic Net, Global Times, China Today and China Radio International.
