Journalist Yasir Habib Khan wins Friendship Award 2021

ISLAMABAD—Pakistani journalist Yasir Habib Khan has won the "Friendship Award 2021" conferred by the Chinese government in a ceremony held at Lahore Gymkhana.

Lahore Acting Consul General People's Republic of China Mr. Peng Zhengwu presented the "Friendship Award 2021" to Khan in recognition of his contribution to Pak-China relations and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Khan is a senior journalist working as a special correspondent for Chinese Media Groups, including Global Times, China Economic Net, China Today, and China Radio International (CRI). He writes opinion pieces and articles for Geo TV, The News, Nation and Daily Times in Pakistan. He is also president and founder of the Institute of International Relations and Media Research (IIRMR).

Recently 100 foreign experts from 32 countries at a gathering held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing were awarded Friendship Awards 2021.

The Friendship Award is the highest award to commend foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to China's modernization drive. Since its establishment in 1991, 1,799 foreign experts have received the award.
