Journalist attacked and injured by land grabbers in Shahdadkot
Journalist Syed Sadiq Shah was injured during an attack by land grabbers in Shahdadkot. The assailants were incensed by his reporting on their illegal land occupation.

SHAHDADKOT – Senior journalist Syed Sadiq Shah of Sindhi newspaper Awami Soch was attacked and injured Friday reportedly by land grabbers upset over a story he had filed against them.

Reports said the assailants had occupied land belonging to a government girls school. They beat up the journalists with staffs and rifle butts.

Journalists in the area, a district of Sindh province, protested the attack and called for immediate arrest of the perpetrators.

Police have registered an FIR and made one arrest.
