Journalist abducted in Tank
Shah Zaman Mehsud, a journalist, was abducted from his residence in Tank city. His brother confirmed the incident while security forces were reported to be involved.

PESHAWAR - A journalist from South Waziristan was reportedly picked up from his home in Tank city on Sunday night.

Pakistan Today reported that Shah Zaman Mehsud was taken away by five men in plain clothes who barged into his house at 1:00 am.

Shah Zaman’s brother Ismael confirmed Zaman’s abduction. Journalists in Tank said that security personnel arrested him.

Pakistan Today said that before arresting Zaman, the security personnel raided the Mehsud Press Club.

Although from South Waziristan, Zaman was living in Tank city. He is a correspondent of a Karachi based Urdu newspaper.

He was arrested a couple of months ago by security forces but released after a few days, the paper reported.
