ISPR approves 26 retired officers as defense analysts
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has authorized 26 retired officers to appear as defense analysts in media discussions. These analysts will share independent views, as specified by ISPR guidelines.

ISLAMABAD – The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has approved 26 retired officers of the armed forces for appearing as defense analysts in the media.

Earlier this month, electronic media regulator directed news and current affairs channels to have retired personnel on their shows only as defense analysts for discussion on military matters with prior clearance from ISPR.

The ISPR said it had no objection to the appearance of the 26 retired officers, but added their views, comments, and opinions would be independent and not attributable to the institution.

It said that any other retired officer wanting to appear on television or radio as a defense analyst could contact the ISPR for the NOC.
