IHC dismisses Dr. Shahid Masood's bail plea
Dr. Shahid Masood's bail plea was dismissed by the Islamabad High Court. The case revolves around allegations of a fraudulent contract with a fake company.

ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court on Saturday dismissed a bail plea filed by prominent political analyst Dr. Shahid Masood, a former managing director of Pakistan Television.

Daily Times reported on Sunday that Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani announced the decision after having reserved it on December 20.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had arrested Masood on November 23 after his previous bail plea was also rejected.

Masood allegedly entered into a contract with a fake company for earning media rights from the Pakistan Cricket Board when he headed PTV. As a result of this, the state-run organization suffered financial losses.
