Iftikhar Ahmad quits 24 News for health reasons
Iftikhar Ahmad has announced his resignation from 24 News due to health concerns, marking the end of a prominent 17-year career in television. He expressed gratitude towards his supporters and critics alike throughout his journey.

ISLAMABAD — Prominent television anchor Iftikhar Ahmad has decided to quit 24 News for health reasons.

In a tweet Saturday, he said he was ending his 17-year career as a TV anchor.

“It has been a great journey, thanking all those who supported and helped me throughout the years, even my critics too," he said.

Ahmed gained fame in the electronic media through his popular interview show Jawabdeh on Geo TV, which he hosted for ten years.

He also had stints at BOL News and Dunya News Television.

Ahmed began his career as a print journalist in 1982 and worked for several newspapers including dailies Subh-o-Khair, Aftab, Pakistan, and Jang.

At 24 News, which he joined in 2015, he hosted the show, Jawab Dain.
