Hum News has officially begun broadcasting, marking its entry into Pakistan's competitive news sector. The channel has received positive greetings from journalists and industry analysts.

ISLAMABAD – Hum News, a sister channel of Hum Entertainment is finally up and running.

The channel went on air on May 11 ready to make its mark in an extremely competitive market.

Journalists and others greeted the arrival of the channel. Analyst Rauf Klasra tweeted: “Welcome #HumNews on our tv screens. Lets hope it ll help boost competition in news market in days to come with quality content&http://credibility.New channels&newspapers always help state, society grow&provide better working journalists conditions for journalists. Goodluck guys.”

Sami Abraham, a presenter with BOL News, also extended his greetings on Twitter: “Many many congrats #HumNews and particularly Nadeem Raza and Amir Zia ..I wish all humnews team best of luck.”
