ISLAMABAD – A driver and engineer of Geo Television’s news gathering van were intercepted and beaten up by armed private security guards in Sector E-11 Monday.

According to Geo the assailants were in a Land Cruiser bearing registration No. EU008. They forced the two out of the van, and beat them up severely.

The attackers also damaged the windows and the vehicle’s door before fleeing.

Geo said it had obtained CCTV footage of the attack.
