Former director news of PTV Riffat Nazir passes away
Riffat Nazir, the former Director News of Pakistan Television, has passed away after battling cancer. She was known for her dedication to journalism and broadcasting.

ISLAMABAD—Former Director News of Pakistan Television (PTV), Riffat Nazir, passed away on Wednesday after a long battle with cancer.

Riffat also worked as head of the PTV's English channel.

She carried out her duties diligently, particularly in journalism. She worked as a reporter, producer, and editor with PTV. Her husband, Nazir Tabassum, also worked for PTV.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, Secretary Information Shaheera Shahid, Managing Director PTV Syed Mubashir Touqeer Shah, and other higher officials and PTV staff have expressed their condolences over the demise.
