Former Dawn Assistant Editor Anjum Niaz passes away
Anjum Niaz, a prominent journalist and former assistant editor at Dawn, passed away in New Jersey. She was known for her insightful contributions and weekly column.

ISLAMABAD – Anjum Niaz, a former assistant editor at Dawn passed away in New Jersey, US on Saturday.

Dawn reported on Monday that she joined the paper in the 1980s after transfer from Daily Star. She edited the newspaper’s Friday magazine for several years.

In the early 1990s, she was transferred to the Islamabad bureau of Dawn and covered Foreign Office.

Her weekly column Crème de a crème was greatly loved by the readers.
