FIR lodged against unknown assailants who attacked Ayaz Amir

LAHORE—An FIR has been registered against unidentified individuals who attacked journalist Ayaz Amir on Friday at the Qila Gujjar Singh Police Station.

Provisions 147, 149, 506, and 382 have been included in the complaint of the driver of Amir.

Amir, who appears as a political analyst on Dunya News, was on his way home from work when assaulted by unknown individuals. The men also snatched his wallet and mobile phone.

Many journalists, media persons, TV celebrities, and others have widely condemned the attack on Amir, terming it a shameful and unacceptable act.

Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb stated that the government would conduct a thorough investigation and deliver justice to the journalist.
