FIA books Imran Riaz Khan, eight others for alleged campaign targeting judge
The Federal Investigation Agency has initiated legal action against journalist Imran Riaz Khan and eight associates. They are accused of running a campaign targeting a judge's reputation.

ISLAMABAD-The Federal Investigation Agency's Cyber Crime Wing has registered a case against journalist Imran Riaz Khan and eight others for allegedly running a social media campaign against a serving judge, BBC Urdu reported.

The case was filed at the FIA Cyber Crime Islamabad following a complaint from the judge's nephew.

The individuals named in the case include, in addition to YouTuber Imran Riaz Khan, Sadiq Anjum, Mujahid Ali Shah, Sohail Ahmed, Umar Sadiq, Musaddiq Abbasi, Tariq Saleem, and Allah Nawaz Khan.

These YouTubers are accused of blackmail, intimidation, and damaging the judge's reputation.

The name of the judge has not been revealed in the FIR; however, according to an FIA official, the judge is Humayun Dilawar, for whom an arrest warrant was also issued by a court in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

It is worth noting that Humayun Dilawar sentenced former Prime Minister Imran Khan in a criminal case for not declaring the gifts received from the Toshakhana as his assets. Following the verdict, Imran Khan was arrested in August last year.
