Express Tribune's Farahnaz wins scholarship
ISLAMABAD: Farahnaz Zahidi Moazzam, senior sub-editor at The Express Tribune, is one of five journalists who have won scholarships to attend Women Deliver 2016 conference.

Women Deliver is a global organization that works for girls and women’s rights and wellbeing. The winners will attend the conference in Copenhagen, Denmark from May 16-19, 2016.

The other four winners are: Comfort Mussa from Cameroon, Florencia Goldsman (Argentina), Rina Jimenez-David (Philippines) and Tareq Salahuddin (Bangladesh).

Earlier, the organization announced 15 journalists as the most powerful around the world for their stories on women and girls’ health and rights.

Hundreds of people from Pakistan and across the world voted to support Farahnaz and she stood second in the competition.

Farahnaz is a writer, editor, photojournalist and blogger. She is also a peace and gender activist and teaches students of media sciences as visiting faculty.
