Eminent journalist Nargis Khanum passes away
Nargis Khanum, a prominent journalist, has died from a heart attack while en route to the Karachi Press Club. She made significant contributions to journalism throughout her career.

KARACHI – Eminent journalist Nargis Khanum who during her career worked for Dawn and The Star, died of a heart attack on Tuesday.

Dawn reported Wednesday that she was on way to the Karachi Press Club in her car when she suffered the attack. She was able to pull her car over and died.

According to the paper, Khanum joined Dawn in 1966 as a reporter and wrote on culture and art. She later wrote column Megacity Madness for the eveninger The Star where she went on to become the news editor.

For the last few years, she was writing a column for Business Recorder.
