Dunya News cannot air Imran Khan interview, says Kamran Khan

ISLAMABAD—Prominent Dunya News anchor Kamran Khan (pictured) says he has been informed his upcoming interview with PTI Chairman Imran Khan cannot go on air.

"I was to interview IK tonight but have just been told it can't be aired at any cost," Kamran tweeted.

He pointed out the problem stemmed from Khan's speech in Faisalabad, where he made a statement about the appointment of the new army chief. It did not go down well in the military.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) condemned Khan's remarks Monday.

"Point of no-Return: Imran Khan's statement yesterday on appointment of new COAS triggered a massive uproar in the country particularly in Pakistan Army. IHC furious President Alvi disassociated," Kamran said on Twitter.
