DawnNews appoints Ali Akbar as Peshawar Bureau Chief
Ali Akbar has been appointed as the new Bureau Chief for DawnNews in Peshawar, replacing Zahir Shah Sherazi. Akbar is set to assume his new role on February 1.
ISLAMABAD: Ali Akbar, senior correspondent with DawnNews Television in Islamabad, has replaced Zahir Shah Sherazi as Bureau Chief Peshawar. Sherazi has joined BOL News.
A JournalismPakistan.com source says the DawnNews management has transferred Akbar to Peshawar from Islamabad and he would assume charge on February 1.
“Akbar is well connected with the senior management in Karachi and that’s why he has been elevated to the position of bureau chief,” he said.
As a reporter, Akbar was covering parliamentary proceedings, Election Commission of Pakistan and Pakistan Peoples Party as his main beats.
Akbar previously worked for Samaa TV, Dunya News and Khyber TV as a reporter.
