KARACHI—Khalid H. Khan, a senior sports reporter with Dawn, died in Karachi on Tuesday.
Khan, 58, who suffered cranial hemorrhage, was under treatment at a local hospital for the last two weeks.
In a statement, Employees Union Dawn Islamabad (EUDI) President Mubarak Zeb Khan and General Secretary Asad Malik offered condolences over the journalist's death, recalling him as an "iconic figure in sports journalism and promoter of unity among the journalist community."
Khan had earned a name in sports journalism because of his unique style focusing on balanced, unbiased, and in-depth coverage.
"His services for sports journalism and the journalists community in daily Dawn will be remembered for all times to come," EUDI said.
